This first residence built by Frank English established the comfortable "English style" seen all over Carrizozo. Built in 1911 for District Attorney H. B. Hamilton, it was purchased by Dr. Frank Johnson during the depression and turned into a hospital. The old garage was the nurses' quarters and the private outhouse still stand behind the garage. Now a private residence.
